Tom e Kate deslaçam o nó

Katie Holmes esperou quase seis anos para ter coragem de separar-se de Tom Cruise. Casou com o actor mais influente do mundo em 2006 e ambos caíram em desgraça. Ele, por dar a cara pela Cientologia, saltar no sofá da Oprah e insultar Brooke Shields, ela por ser uma catraia sem talento a dar o golpe do baú, versão da frigideira para o lume.

Desde então, a carreira dela não pegou (ainda está por entender-se a substituição por Maggie Gyllenhall em The Dark Knight, 2008) e a dele andou tremida até 2009, onde aguentou, no limite, a Valquíria, em 2010 fez uma comédia de espiões com Cameron Diaz onde ambos foram considerados velhos para o público-alvo e só em 2011 pôde respirar de alívio, quando a sua quarta Missão Impossível funcionou em pleno. Haverá, claro, quem recorde o seu cameo em Tempestade Tropical (2008), que lhe trouxe algum reconhecimento, tendo repetido o papel de careca gorducho e dançarino de hip hop no MTV At The Movies, mas não foi redenção suficiente.

O casamento chega agora ao fim, com Katie a esperar que Tom se ausentasse em filmagens na Islândia (não havia nada mais longe) para oficializar o pedido de divórcio e de custódia da filha Suri. Filha essa que, toda a gente (que não se deixou aldrabar) sabe, nem é dele, mas do anterior namorado dela, Chris Klein. Sim, ela separou-se de Chris já de embrião na pança e Tom disse que não se importava, já tinha dois putos adoptados, este até podia passar por biológico. Como se devem lembrar, a bebé Suri nasceu três meses prematura, mas ninguém pôde vê-la durante os primeiros três meses de vida. Porquê? Porque a bebé nasceu ao fim de nove meses e era grande demais para que alguém acreditasse que tanta balofice era tão prematura. E, sim, a bebé é a cara chapada de Chris Klein.

A G-rated motion picture contains nothing in theme, language, nudity, sex, violence or other matters that, in the view of the Rating Board, would offend parents whose younger children view the motion picture. The G rating is not a “certificate of approval,” nor does it signify a “children’s” motion picture. Some snippets of language may go beyond polite conversation but they are common everyday expressions. No stronger words are present in G-rated motion pictures. Depictions of violence are minimal. No nudity, sex scenes or drug use are present in the motion picture. A PG-rated motion picture should be investigated by parents before they let their younger children attend. The PG rating indicates, in the view of the Rating Board, that parents may consider some material unsuitable for their children, and parents should make that decision. The more mature themes in some PG-rated motion pictures may call for parental guidance. There may be some profanity and some depictions of violence or brief nudity. But these elements are not deemed so intense as to require that parents be strongly cautioned beyond the suggestion of parental guidance. There is no drug use content in a PG-rated motion picture. A PG-13 rating is a sterner warning by the Rating Board to parents to determine whether their children under age 13 should view the motion picture, as some material might not be suited for them. A PG-13 motion picture may go beyond the PG rating in theme, violence, nudity, sensuality, language, adult activities or other elements, but does not reach the restricted R category. The theme of the motion picture by itself will not result in a rating greater than PG-13, although depictions of activities related to a mature theme may result in a restricted rating for the motion picture. An NC-17 rated motion picture is one that, in the view of the Rating Board, most parents would consider patently too adult for their children 17 and under. No children will be admitted. NC-17 does not mean “obscene” or “pornographic” in the common or legal meaning of those words, and should not be construed as a negative judgment in any sense. The rating simply signals that the content is appropriate only for an adult audience. PAINTINGS
These are usually film-based. I always try to find images that come from either big movie classics, silents, home videos, etc... The most interesting thing for me is when the context of these images somehow changes because only a particular frame is painted.

FILMING LOCATIONS
This is something I’ve started to do when I was visiting Coney Island in New York. I had some screenshots from Darren Aronofsky’s ‘Requiem for a Dream’ with me because I just wanted to see if I could find the spots. I then decided to emulate the position of the actors. A few pictures later, I also started trying to find the exact camera angle, and I’ve been doing this on every vacation since then…
The movies I’ve found the locations of so far are: Requiem for a Dream, 28 Days Later, A Clockwork Orange, The Man who Knew Too Much, Hostel, Mandragora, Amadeus, The Illusionist, Casino Royale, Girl with a Pearl Earring, Any Way the Wind Blows and C’est Arrivé Près de Chez Vous.
On my next trips to London and (hopefully) Paris, I will take pictures of: 'Around the World in 80 Days', 'Lawrence of Arabia', 'The Man Who Knew Too Much', 'Interview With the Vampire', 'A Bout de Souffle (Breathless)', 'Eyes Wide Shut', 'Blow-Up', 'The Dreamers', 'Trainspotting', more scenes from 'A Clockwork Orange', 'Masculin/Féminin', 'Sleepy Hollow', 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade', 'The Ladykillers', 'The Elephant Man', etc...

Adam Arkin / George Clooney

Sempre achei que o actor Adam Arkin se parecia com um George Clooney mais abatido, mais envelhecido, como se fosse o irmão mais feio de Clooney. No filme Michael Clayton, Clooney parece uma sombra da imagem de virilidade que uma vez transmitiu, e ainda mais ares dá ao Arkin.

Concordam?

Pelo menos, são muito mais parecidos do que estes irmãos verdadeiros

According to Brandon Tartikoff, the head of programming at NBC during the 1980s, the inspiration for the series came about when NBC executives started complaining about the problems of casting handsome leading men in TV series, because many of them couldn't act. 

Tartikoff and his assistant came up with a concept for a TV show called, "The Man of Six Words". Each show would begin with the leading man getting out of a woman's bed and saying, "Thank you." Occasionally, throughout the show, the leading man would say, "Okay," when receiving orders from his boss. Then he would chase down some villains and say "Freeze!" Finally, when the people he had saved from death would thank him, he would say, "You're welcome." For the rest of the show, the car would do all the talking. 

Although Tartikoff had meant the pitch to be a joke, the NBC executives liked the idea of a TV show about a man with a talking car, and approved it for development.

Onde Está Wall-E?

É tão descarada a similitude entre ambos robôs que fica ridículo o realizador de WALL-E vir dizer que baseou o seu pequeno robô na lâmpada do logo da Pixar e num par de binóculos que lhe passaram para as mãos num jogo de baseball.

E quando diz que não são parecidos, diz que o Nº5 é alto, magro e tem braços compridos enquanto que o WALL-E é baixo e compacto. Ah, bom, e as lagartas para se locomover e a descarada semelhança dos "olhos" foi mera coincidência ...

Já ouve fãs do WALL-E que vieram acusar o Nº5 de se basear nuns robôs do futuro do Terminator original, que estreou em 1984, enquanto que o Curto Circuito apenas dois anos depois. Mas a única parecência entre o Nº5 e esses está só nas lagartas, enquanto que o WALL-E plagia todo o conceito do Nº5. Era também pelos olhos que o Nº5 se exprimia.

E confessemos, se Arnold Schwarzenegger e Danny DeVito pareciam Gémeos (1988) apenas por usarem a mesma camisa havaiana, estes dois robôs são como o Bucha e o Estica, de fato igual e chapéu de coco, toda a gente os associava.

O papel principal no filme O Corvo, de 1994, primeiro foi oferecido a River Phoenix e a Christian Slater, que o recusaram, antes de chegar às mãos de Brandon Lee.

O culto não teria sido o mesmo.

Mas talvez River Phoenix morresse na mesma.

spandex nightmare

A parede do quarto da Nancy em que Freddy se inclina, dobrando a parede com o seu contorno, é uma tela de spandex, comprada para o efeito. O spandex era uma novidade, em 1984, um tecido elástico usado apenas em roupa de desporto feminina.

Esse é apenas um dos inúmeros efeitos especiais baratíssimos do filme Pesadelo em Elm Street, da autoria de Jim Doyle, especialista de FX. Aliás, é o rosto dele que aparece no filme, nessa cena (e não o actor Robert Englund). Outra cena em que Doyle faz de Freddy é a mítica cena da banheira em que a luva do Freddy aparece entre as pernas de Heather Langenkamp (Nancy).
