Dissecting a poem by Marilyn Chin

If I could master
the nine doors of my body
And close my heart
to the cries of suffering
Perhaps
I could love you like no other
Float my mind
toward the other side of hate

— Marilyn Chin

1 - what is to master a door? is it to be able to use the handle to open and close?

2 - why does a body have nine doors and not ten? or eleven?

3 - where do the cries of suffering come from, to reach the heart? why does a heart have ears?

4 - every loves in their own way so, with no changes needed, he/she already loves like no other.

5 - what is the other side of hate? what is this side of hate? why are they different? are they different? why float there? why not float to happiness instead?
